Go2umrah.com is and educational service provided by an experienced Imam, who has visited the holy lands and assisted pilgrims many times over the years. Imam Azhar Subedar began this service in 2009, after much deliberation over the condition of people who intend, or actually visited the holy lands; but were deprived of the true experience, and/ or knowledge to perform the pilgrimage correctly. “With great sacrifices made by the Muslims in America, giving their time and money towards the Ibadat of Allah; as a scholar, I felt it my obligation to assist. Not just by conducting seminars (as we do every year for the pilgrims); nor writing literature -

(Adeiyaa ma’thoor le hajjin mabroor, an English transliterated dua book and pictorial hajj & Umrah guide written by Imam Azhar), but to move one step further and help by formatting a group for the people, and guiding them personally throughout this sacred journey”.

Imam Azhar Subedar was born in Canada. He grew up and attended school in Ontario. In his early teen hood, by means of the prayers of his righteous parents, decided to focus his Life towards serving Islam.
Beginning his studies in an Islamic School in Arabi Louisiana, he later on traveled to England in 1994, and completed the remainder 7 of a 10 year course in attaining an Islamic Scholarship. Amongst the many subject studied, were: Arabic Etymology, Grammatical Syntax, Phonetics, History and Arabic  Philology, Semantics, Calligraphy, Oration lessons, Logic, Jurisprudence and Law, Philosophy, Principles of Jurisprudence, Commentary Literature and Hadith, Exegesis & Hadith, Intensive exposition of Jurisprudence, Rhetorical studies, Hadith & Aqidah literature (Sihaa e Sitta), Critical Analysis of language & law, Laws of Inheritance, Chronology, Urdu language & grammar, etc..

Alhamdulillah, in November 2000, Imam Azhar graduated from the “Institute of Islamic Education”, with the degree M.A. in Shariah of Islam & Certified Qari & Muqri (Teacher) of Tajweed, Al-Qira’aat As-Sab’ah & Al-Asharah.
Since 2002, Imam Azhar Subedar is serving the Muslim community of Southwest Florida. He is currently the Imam, Khateeb, Teacher and Religious consultant of Port Charlotte’s Masjid Nur. He is also a Member of White House Faith Base and Community Initiatives, & a Religious Advisor to the Florida Department of Education.
